@RichardBizz:

That depends on the age and type of car which effects what type of key it is using...

It could be anywhere from two minutes to a little while if programming a transponder or the vehicle computer is involved...

Do you have more information about your car ?

I can cut most car keys in a couple mins at most.... some transponder keys take 10 minutes.... its not going to take a whole day if thats what your wondering lol. A good locksmith, should have you out the door in 10 or under no matter what "transponder" key.... (even if it is sidewinder, it shouldnt take more than 10-15 minutes for a transponder key, unless you go to a dealer of course...)

Faster than wasting your time here or on Yahoo! Answers asking this question and waiting for a reply. :roll:

Go to a local locksmith or your car dealer and get it done. if no chip or transponder, just a metal key, around 1 minute. With chip and transponder, AND your car there in person, less than 20 mins. Price: Just metal key, maybe $5-$10 dollars, with chip around $100-$300

Honestly, Richard, I don't even know what do you want from us? :)

I mean all you said you need a key asap. But no question whatsoever...
I mean how can I help you there? Fly there and copy you a key? :D

Google nearby locksmiths for you when you didn't even provide a location? (Plus, come on dude, google "<town name here> local lochsmith" yourself. Call them. Ask if the have a shop and go there. )

I really wonder what did you expect from us? :)
That suddenly we appear where you are like Voldemort when you say his name? :D
To infinity... and beyond!

I don't see what the problem is really. We have customers call every day and tell us that if we can not be there in the next 10 minutes to just go ahead and let them know and they will call someone else. Others get irritated when we tell them that it might take us 20-30 minutes to get to their location or that everybody is already on a job and we will put them next in line.

I think people honestly think that we just sit around waiting on them to call and we are just around the corner from them.

Yikes, that is expensive.

We get $2.50-$5.00 for most metal keys and $55-$75 for chipped keys.

At the risk of sounding cynical, the only other Google hit for "RichardBizz" is an on-line review posted late last year, saying how good XYZ Locksmith in NYC is... I was expecting to see a follow-up post here, commenting on how inexpensive and fast their service was, now that his car key is copied. :wink:
