Picking the Door knob

I have a practice schlage doornob lock. I am having trouble picking it beacause of some unknown reasons. Anyway, when i add tension the plug turns about 75 degrees with no pins up. Then it looks like there are only two pins in the lock and i can't really feel them. Any tips?

i don't know much about locks so listen to the pros but it sounds like you broke the lock

if so does it turn the cylinder?

No it had no key.

does it turn to 75 degrees or does it turns 75 degrees


turn to (it turn to where the lock opening is at a 75 degree angle

I would venture that it's borked. No Schlages (at least that I know of) turn part way. Also, if it's only got 2 pins, I'd say that you aren't the one that broke it. Every Schlage that I've seen has had at least 5...

I was re-pinning some schlages that look like the one you have. When i'de only have a few pin stacks loaded, the plug was able to turn like you have there in your picture.

So it might not be broken, it might just be missing pin stacks. If you have some extra load'em up and pick away.
