Hacksaw Blades

Postby Cman22 » 14 Oct 2004 15:17

I have gone to the local hardware store, i have called lowes and i can't find 50 cent hacksaws. Can you get them at the Home Depot or order them online? Where can i find cheap hacksaws? :?:

Try a dollar store. And remember you just need the replacement blades, not the actual hacksaw.

hey, c'mon now...
what answer would you get if you called home despot and asked if they had "50 cent hacksaws". I know they have bob villa hammers, but I don't think the rappers have gotten into home improvement yet.

Besides, the ground down handles have a million uses- they're great for diy pickguns, making your own impressioning keyholders, pocket knife style picksets, rapping padlocks, file handles... the list goes on. I can honestly say that I've never had a problem finding a use for a hacksaw handle that's left over from pick making.

It would seem a pretty shitty hardware store if they dont even have hacksaw blades. Try a GOOD store.

It's a great hardware store, they gave me 5 lock plugs for free. They also gave me lots of pins so i could repin my locks. They do hack hacksaw blades just not the cheap ones, 3-8 dollars a blade.

Where the hell do you live?

$3.00 - $8.00 a blade my ass. I'm in Canada, and if I can find a 10 pack for less than $3.00 you can bloody well find one too.

High quality Stanley blades don't even cost that much.

Come on, tell us where you are shopping, or something.

For $3.00 - $8.00 that blade better sing and tap dance.

It can warble if you keep making it bend but the larger hand saws do it better. I guess that is singing, well, maybe for the birds.

I saw a hacksaw blade do the charleston once...

Then again, I was drunk...

My hacksaw blades cost me ~£0.08 each from a mail order tool company. I have probably made over 100 tools from these blades with no problems of the quality of the steel.
