He says no sorcery but really he is a wizard of the dark arts. :)

And far be it for me to go against what Femurat says but I have never had a lot of joy with the half diamond. Give me a shallow/medium hook any day. Maybe it is time to practice with one again...

Nice one mikus!

The side ball bearings were passive, am I right?
I would guess that the key has some side profile in it. I really like those keys
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.

Thanks!
These balls are the pins, there is 4 of them becouse this lock can have 4 side pins (mine had only 3 :( ). They are loceted on the side of the keyway.

Very well done mikus. How long did the attempt take?
If you do not manipulate the lock, then the lock will manipulate you

I locked the door to the bathroom so I could pick it open.

Today I picked open a doorknob lock. Generic brand im guessing.

Ahhh! Now I see how stupid my question was. Since those side pins are spring loaded, you ad to actually pick all of them right?
Very nice lock mate!

And awesome times!

Yeah, a dimple lock pick was very good at these side pins! I just wish it had more pins in it (cylinder is max for 5key pins and 4 sidepins while body allows 6key pins and 5 side pins) becouse im bored now, i have nothing harder to pick :(

Have you got any pics of the keys to that abus IIRC I played with something similar that John Naughton had at the London hack space, and the ball bearing on stacks were passive, despite looking like they should be active.
