The guy is great, get in contact with him through KeyPicking. Make sure to get his name right, though: "Raimundo" or "Rai."

i registered for key picking with two seperate accounts around a month ago with no success.
the admin has to active your account, and they never did. I even sent an email to the "admin" account for @keypicking.com with no reply. Anyone have any connections that can help me out? I can pm my user name
Yeah sorry Raimundo, that was a typo.

This may be part of the problem, I am new to forums myself and do not know all the ettiqette, but I do now that trying to have more than 1 account per forum is frowned upon on most , and can get your request ignored or get you banned . I am sure Mods can be very busy , and may not have seen your request until the second one was there along with the first, perhaps causing suspiscion. I am not saying there was fraudulent intent on your part, but it may have been misinterpreted by the powers that be there, and your request may have been ignored. I may be wrong altogether though, but just a thought.

I only registered the second account due to the first never being activated, now the second also has been ignored. Both sat for around 3 weeks. Over a month total waiting for an activation that never came.

Rai is absolutely one of the greatest guys I've ever had the acquaintance of working with. He has been patient and insightful and has made some of the finest picks I'll ever own. I have been able to correspond with him through PM on both Lockpicking 101 and Keypicking.

Did you register using your real name in the profile, and a real email address?

They require real first and last and a real email address, not a throw away one.

I've used many forums, and but I've found the lock picking forums to be weird. This one has some very strict restrictions on what can be posted, and self important policies. Keypicking was nice, but its requirement of personal information, and sometimes inanity in interactions was frustrating. The etiquette of these forums seems different from the others I've used. For example, we are not allowed to post responses to new member introductions here. Almost all of the forums I use have the first introduction thread by a new member more or less an open topic for introductions and discussion. "thismembername" doesn't look like something that would look like a non-spam account. Most people have some sort of online identification which is personal in some way. If it looks like a bot account, or someone not interested in being a member of the community, they probably would easily overlook it. Forum software has bots constantly trying to register to spam. Also, remember forums are owned privately, and are under the complete control of the owners. So use of them is accepting complete control over the content and use of the forum by another. People who are well known probably get a lot of people trying to contact them. It is possible that non-serious looking messages are just ignored, such as messages which contain poorly written content.

something is bonked with keypickings registration anyways, keep getting the following error when attempting to register
"Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression."
i know its not an ip block because it would probably say my ip was blocked, and ive used a VPN and TOR to attempt to register with no luck using multiple email address's.

Are you using some sort of anonymizer that strips away necessary HTML/Javascript ? I can respect internet privacy and anonymity, but it almost sounds like you're causing your own issues by over complicating the connection. I have a few buddies over there and I know they have new members every day, so this may be on your end. Ever try to just go to it using regular non TORed, non-VPNed internet? Maybe switch browsers? turn off some plug-ins? Or try off a neighbors open wifi if you don't want to show your home IP? good luck, hope you figure it out, Squelchtone
