Need help with Grandmas last safe! No combination and don't know about this safe?

Model. Meilink F-847.
Floor safe with a 99 digit round dial.
Can this be cracked or should I call a lock smith?

Thank you.

P.S I am new and don't know the proper etiquette.

Can I post pictures?

A picture would help. But I can tell you for sure there is no secret bypass method for these safes, unless you are willing to learn how to manipulate. Which is not easy. But can be done. You said there were other safes? perhaps the combo is in one of them. Or maybe the combo's of those safes could lend a clue.

Otherwise if it's important to get her affairs in order quickly , I'd call a Safe Technician , or a Locksmith who is certified or well experienced with safes.

There should be a price to have it opened, and to have it opened and repaired. Ask if they attempt manipulation, if they do not know what you are talking about, try another one.

Send a link to some pictures and I'll take a look.

If you've never done safe work or manipulation before, you won't learn it here from reading a post or two. As tornoto said, there aren't any cool tricks to tell you over the internet that will open that safe.

As already said, make sure the locksmith shop you call does safe work and knows about basics like manipulation, some places just drill a safe before trying to crack the combination.

There is a trade organization called SAVTA (Safe and Vault Technicians Association) you can find someone in your area who is qualified and can give you a proper quote before starting any work http://www.savta.org/savta_tech.php

This shop seems the most qualified for the job but is 90 miles from you in Hayward, WI http://www.billslocksmithinc.com/

This shop isnt listed with SAVTA, but it is close to you, so it is worth getting a quote from them: http://www.tru-lock.com/services.html

if you still want to post a photo of the safe, you can upload it to http://tinypic.com/ and then Copy/Paste the link in your reply here.

good luck,
