Which Pickgun??

Postby SaintAccardo » 30 Jul 2014 21:35

Hello, everyone. It's been a few weeks since I've been here but I can enthusiastically say that I've been quite busy picking locks and have gotten myself a Mr Wizard Challenge lock and really enjoy it and it can be a challenge sometime.

My question is which electric pick gun would you recommend buying? I'm looking at the Eltropick gun by Southord which goes for around $170 and is battery powered and then the Electric Pick by HPC which retails for around $290. Is there much of a difference between the two? Other than one being rechargeable and the other operating on battery power I don't see where the $100+ difference comes in? Let me know as I'm looking to purchase one very soon. Thanks.

Hiya,
Why not just get a Klom for the time being.. only cost about $60.00 or so and can be an effective little unit, I have seem them on Ebay for around the price I quoted above.

You get a range of different picks with it to.

Hmmm, not a bad offer. I'm wary about ordering junk from China though. I have alot of experience with the country as I'm in the pharmaceutical field and I order alot of base product from China. I guess they have good stuff too.
Does anyone have anything bad to say about the KLOM and recommend getting the Southord or HPC instead? Thanks for showing me the KLOM though. That's a great price and comes with all those picks.

Thanks for the input again. I ended up taking the middle ground and ordered the High Output Electric Lock Pick by Southord for $170 and also got a pack of ten replacement needles for $10 which isn't too bad. Can't wait to get it he he!
