cant sleep till i figure this out..please help!!

Im fairly new to this..I saw this site a couple weeks ago and got interested..I've have a master 3,brinks tumbler disk, quickset dead bolt..I can open all under a minute by raking or jiggiling but I can't pik them very often..my main problem that I have is when I apply enough tension to get a binding pin..I let a little tension off so the pin will move but when I move the pin it feels like it comes to a stop at the shear line but does not click???if I ease more tension off I can push it up more but still no click it just comes free of the stalling point..I'm having trouble setting all or any of the pins...any idea what the problem is?? I hear a couple set or I think that's what I hear but they come with ease .thanks to anyone in advance for even taking time to read

That sounds correct.

try using a hook instead of a rake

Thanks for the advise..I been using a short hook but just can't beat this lock and my fingers are blistered from trying..when I say I've tried for a while I don't mean an hour..I mean like 6 to 8 hours straight 3days in a row and still can only jiggle it open...raking seems like it does not work on this and I can't seem to spp it bit I can jiggle open in a few seconds..its just mind boggling ..thanks again for the help this site is awesome.

many newbies tend to over pick. Try to use the picks lightly. Dont forget the whole secret is in the amount of tension on the wrench. You only need to just lift the pins, which should be fairly light. There is no reason you should blister up. That usually means you are lifting the pick too hard.

I have been locksmithing for 30+ years and I still encounter stubborn cylinders. You just need to be patient and use a little finesse.

I have 2 Best SFIC cores to pick tomorrow, but only to pull the core. I havent done one in so long, but I am fairly confident.
