Good morning all. A little background first... I'm currently deployed in the U.S. Marines and stationed in Spain. We are in an old beat up barracks. Our logistic guys know that i dabble in lock picking and had asked me to open a few doors that had no keys, as a last resort before they break the doorknobs off and have them replaced. The master key doesn't work on a few doors.
I tried the locks out for a few minutes but didn't have any luck. They had what looked like rectangle pins (box like) and not the cylinder looking pins. Does anyone know what type of core this is? Like who makes it so i can research the type. I thought i heard serrated pins but it was hard to tell. I wanted some advice before I took another crack at it. Also it was setting pins but needed an absurdly light amount of tension to get the pins to even move up. The pins were almost touching the warding below it, which gave almost no room under it to pick.
Any information would be very helpful.
Thanks guys and gals.
Eric
