I have a made by Raimundo himself Bogota set in my wallet, It's awesome and I wish I had another one. I've tried the Titanium machine made sets and they're a little small for my big hands, and I dont feel like they're as polished as the real Bogotas. But I will say that the bend in the handles on the Ti set makes a short handle easier to hold, the Pi set handles are probably too short, especially if you are just learning.

Learn on a normal pick set and then get Bogotas for keeping in your wallet or on your person when you actually know how to pick well. Have a good reason for buying a set, don't just get them to carry around and show off to friends that you carry picks.

I have been learning on a normal pick set. Not the best out there, the southord mpxs-14. It has been serving its' purpose. I have mostly been practicing SPP on my practice collection I am accumulating. Dead bolts, door knobs, and padlocks. Mostly interested in hearing opinions for when I decide I want to buy something from serepick. Thanks for the feedback.

As far as picks go .. I wouldn't buy from Serepick .. they seem a bit expensive to me.. When it comes to picks i would look at lockpickshop.com ... not just because they are a forum sponsor but they are geared towards locksmith/lockpicking equipment..

you can also check out peterson or southord's website

They stack there reputation on the lockpicking equipment.. Serepick just seems like more of a covert equipment retailer..

Well my interest for this post is the bogota. While many companies make a bogota-esque design, I believe serepick sells to original designs by Raimundo, that is my main reason for looking at serepick.

I ordered a Bogota Titan set from Serepick before realizing that they weren't actually made by raimundo. While I was initially disappointed to learn that what I purchased was machine made instead of crafted by the master, I'm nonetheless extremely satisfied with the Bogota Titans from Serepick.

The man who runs Serepick is a member here and a good friend. He is also part of the crew of researchers at Security.org which is run by Marc Weber Tobias of LSS (Locks Safes & Security book) fame and he worked on the Medeco: Open in 30 Seconds book as well. I won't comment on price, as each person has a different gauge of what is expensive to them, but I will say I trust Serepick 100% without hesitation.

My first Bogota set was made by Raimundo here, then I bought a second set from Serepick - their Executive set. Polished the Bogota set in that kit, and it is always in my travel case. The ones handmade by Raimundo need no polishing at all. Those can also be purchased from Serepick. (Look under their menu for handmade picks).

Have purchased from Serepick several times, as have a few friends. Never even heard of anyone having a problem with them. Highly recommended.

I retract my original statement .. they were made without the benefit from input from the Forum .. I see that several well regarded members of this forum are satisfied with all aspects of Serepicks. If the need arises in the future I will not hesitate to order from them

hey, all opinions and viewpoints are welcome, just like the OP said in his post. I may like them but some other person might not. your comment was not any less valuable than any one elses. no need for any apologies.

Actually I believe my opinion to be low in value because I made a snap decision about the vendor without researching them first .. I lumped them in with a lot of other website that sell these kind of items who's owners could tell you a pick from a tension/torque wrench ...

Well, technically, a Bogota is both a pick and a tension wrench!

Anyway, we do appreciate all input. The prices are higher than one might pay for SouthOrd or HPC, so you do have a point. We were not jumping on you, just mentioning that we also have had good experiences with them.

Well, technically, a Bogota is both a pick and a tension wrench!
