three hands needed?

One hand for the pick and one hand for the tension tool. So, how do you people hold your locks?

If the lock is mounted, no need to hold it. If it's in your hand (IE padlock or lock you've taken out) then you can hold the lock in your hand and put force on the tension wrench using the thumb from the same hand, allowing your second hand to pick.

   I'm drunk  ok.. I will write this in finnish..

If the lock is not mounted then it is worth mounting the lock in a piece of timber which can then be held in a vice. You can hold the lock directly in the vice but you will have to be careful not to clamp the vice too tightly as you may put pressure on the workings of the lock.

You may want to try if you have mounted the lock in some timber, insert the tension wrench into the lock and place an elastic band on the end of the wrench, apply a small amount of pressure on the wrench with the band. Using a notice board pin insert it through the other end of the band and pin it to the timber. This will keep a constant pressure on the tension wrench allowing both hands free to pick the lock.

Since I'm right handed I hold the lock in my left hand and use either my index or middle finger from the same hand for tension. Then my right hand is free to pick, and if I'm turning the cylinder counterclockwise I use my left thumb for tension.
