Education for auto locksmithing in Finland?

I do lockouts for any make, model or year and remove broken keys I'm self educated. But I would like to learn how to make keys, code, duplicate and everything that auto locksmithing includes. Do we have any kind of training for that? Or will I just have to buy the machines and do it the old fashioned way and educate my self?

I think You are actually describing two or more classes as you will also need training in programming transponder keys

Might be but I don't know any. Apprenticeship would mean smaller payroll.

Well if You are a self-starter, I think you could buy the Autosmart, that will tell you which model has which code series and even locks, many times. Also if you look up a particular make & model the Autosmart will tell you if the ignition has 8 wafers and the doors have 6 wafers, or if the trunk has all the wafers. There is also guidance about whether the ignition lock has an active retainer and suggestions on originating a new key from scratch. I don't do transponders, but I'm sure there exists a book or CD You can learn it from. Have You tried Locksmith Ledger or The National Locksmith? I'm sure they would have some guides for sale.
