At times I felt like I am one pin away from open but rotating the core back to set it would undo everything. I've seen a few people pick these in the "what did you pick today". I would greatly appreciate any feedback from you guys. The only thing I haven't tried is a long hook and I plan on giving that a try on the weekend.
I know that deeeep false set all to well; that's infuriating. For me, once it went into that false set, I switched to a slim short hook, backed way off the tension, and used the tip of my pick to actually rotate the plug back as needed (was picking CW, so I used the pick to rotate back CCW), then resumed working the pinstacks. Don't do this with your favorite pick, for obvious reasons. It worked for me, on the one 600 I've played around with. Your mileage may vary; good luck!
