Abloy padlock?

Postby ARF-GEF » 18 Dec 2015 15:42

Hi guys. I think this is an abloy padlock, probably PL 350 or the like judging from the size compared to the hand. But I'm not sure, what do you think?
(It's the shiny silver one, on the side of teh door opening, slightly above the first guys's gun.)

Looks smaller than a 350 to me. Does resemble Abloy though. Where was that pic taken?

Found it while browsing wikipedia, the lock grabbed my eye :)
It is the British Ministry of Defence Police's commando force practising something on a warship.

Yeah, you are right, I think it might be a 340 on a closer look. Not sure :)

Most likely an Abloy, I have a 362 which i also suspect is from UK MoD stock. Just have no way of confirming it, but I know the key is most likely from a closed series since I didn't get a card or nothing with the keys.

You will know if it is a surplus MoD lock as I believe all of them are on a A7L keyway and have PT1604 stamped on the key and nothing else.

Mine just has A12 stamped on the "shank" of the key
