Identify and pick tips Chubb padlock picture

I've just been given a chubb padlock...I know very little about it theres no name or model no. it says BORON accross the shackle the plug is mega loose and I'm having difficulty setting the pins. Any tips.

Looks like aChubb 1k900 series.Do you have akey if so is it snaplocking?

Just did a quick search it is a Chubb 1k900 series. I'd like to know the exact one as some are awfull expensive the site I just found listed some POA. I don't have a key the person that gave it to me didn't have 'em so I don't know how it locks.

That looks like the chubb conquest i had fun with one night on a job, at least 4 anti pick pins.

I read that thread. At first I thought it was 'cos the plug was dead loose. 4 Anti picks sounds about right, I'm off work this week so I've had a bottle or 2 I'll try again tomorrow am. Anyone have any tips or tricks, let me know how to open it and I'll send you the lock (you pay the postage) It took me about 90 seconds to get in the house tonight 'cos my fingers were cold, my partner said "why can't you use the key like ordinary people" eh...eh...eh...

Chubb 1k952 dont think its a conquest as there not snaplocking.

I've been trying for hours to open this, many times I feel I have set the pins but the plug only turns a few degrees and then stops I have another no name padlock at the side of me and can pick that in seconds. Can someone tell me how to deal with anti pick pins.

I find Chubb and Union to be possibly the toughest normal pin tumbler mechanisms to pick open.

They seem to be made to such high tolerances that it sometimes feels like you can't get any pins to set. Then, when you have actually got all the pins set (Confirmed in a cutaway), the plug just wont turn!

It seems that its just a combination of many security features which make them difficult - Bevelled holes in the plug, security tumblers, high tolerances etc.
