I thought it was a really nice offer. I'm surprised too.

and other stuff. Thing is I'm not gonna let it cost me anything, I can throw this stuff in the brass bin or the trash, for free. You wanna pay
for the shipping, I'd be glad to mail them. US priority mail small box is what $6?

I've had much the same experience. I offered a bunch of old padlocks on another forum for shipping only, and no bites. I know that many of the locks were pickable (at least by me), but there seems to be limited interest in old padlocks. Such is life.

I love old padlocks, I like to impression keys to the pin tumbler locks, it's good practice

It is odd when a free offer receives no reply. Some time back, in reply to a request for locks with security pins, I offered some older American 5200. Even offered to mail at my expense if the postage would be returned on receipt of package (small flat rate). Never a reply

Finally picked all three locks, repinned to keys I had and have them ready for use

I love them too. A couple of weeks ago, as I was going through some of the piles of stuff my late father has left behind, I found an old poppycock container labeled "locks". In the container were a bunch of old master padlocks, as well as some others. Of particular interest was a "viro" padlock, which I'm sure my father found. In my memory, there was never a key to this lock, and I was unable to open it with a paper clip and a small screwdriver years ago. With my vise, 15 thou Peterson Gem and prybar, I got it open in short order, but I realize now that the lock has spools in it, which makes it hard for youngsters with paper clips to open. I made a key too, so my work is done with this lock. Also I found a small master no. 7 lock with no key, but the code "P375" was never erased off the bottom, so I think it should be easy to make a key for this one. That batch of locks has a connection to my past.

I bought a batch of locks of ebay, took out the ones I really wanted, and picked the rest open. If you want them, let me know. If someone here doesn't have a lot of money and still wants some locks, let me know, and I may send you some locks and stuff. I've been known to be sporting at times.
