Newbie Cuff Collector

Hi all,
I am a newbie here but have been collecting cuffs for about 40 years.
I have about 1000 in my collection and while I will purchase new cuffs as come out , my real love is antique European cuffs and leg irons.

Please feel free to ask any questions or let me know if you need help identifying any cuffs or if you need keys.

I have appeared on 2 episodes of Pawn Stars and was the "expert" on another.

What locking mechanism do you prefer in the cuffs you collection?

When you read the link about this handcuff collector it is fun to note the question or comment that many people make to him about "sex" when he discloses his hobby.

Seems I get similar obnoxious comment many times when I mention "learning to pick locks as hobby and fun challenge". The comment from so many people is something like "why you doing that....you want to steal...". The comment comes from so many negative people and so often it is almost like a putdown, they want to accuse you of something negative.

Now I just cut them short and say "with cameras everywhere its hard to getaway with anything like that". People always think negative thoughts and must live a hard, stressful life if they view everything from that type of viewpoint.

I have gotten that response before. It is sad that everyone assumes a person interested in lockpicking is doing something illegal.

Simple explanation is to ask them how they think locksmiths make a living.

I thought my dozen or so was getting to be a bit much. I'm glad to see I've got a long way to go

Do you have some pictures of your collection? I'd love to see what you find the most creative and interesting out of them.
What do you think about in terms of security, which ones were the best?

Do you ever try to pick them? Do they all work/have keys?
