Much like lock picking itself, pick making has become a whole new hobby for me. Some of you may have seen some of the picks I have posted on this forum, and I have made even more since. I have mostly been working in 0.025" and 0.015" steel to make the picks. I notice that every time I make a new one, they seem to get better. My technique just continues to become more and more "clean". I do a lot of hand filing and that alone is super rewarding when you see the finished product after spending all that time with files of various sizes and shapes. I usually spend quite a bit of time on each pick, once something becomes a little "off" my OCD kicks in and I have to work until it is correct.
Thanks for all of the suggestions and critiques on my picks, the feedback is very useful for me, and I always take everyone's pointers into consideration. This is a great community and I am glad to be a part of it. I spend a lot of time reading through old posts and things trying to find things I did not know before. When my wife sees me on my phone for longer than 5 or 10 minutes I frequently get the comment, "are you on that lock picking forum again?".
Thanks again everyone.
