also, i'd start on a kwikset or masterlock #3. if you try searching you will find info that will help you tremendously.

What were you using before?
I've said this time and time again, pick selection is up to the picker. No one pick works better than any other (Unless of course you've smithed yourself a king and queen rake ) opening a lock requires your skill more than the tools. Practice, get comfortable with lockpicking, and find what works best with your style.

A rake is used for raking pins. Most of the others can be used interchangeably between raking and picking. With this knowledge, go to SouthOrd's website, find the individual picks in the catalog, and find out what each pick is called.

In the future, you might get better responses if you take the time to spell and use grammar correctly. You would want to post like this:
Hi, I'm really new at this and only have a tension pick [more commonly known as tension wrench or torque wrench], a snake pick, a pick that looks like a tip of a regular key [known as a half diamond pick], and finally one that looks the same but has two tips after eachother [Not sure what you mean by that...]. Which locks can I pick easily with these? What picks do you recomend? I hope you aren't too hard on me, I'm really new to picking locks with picks [is there any other way?], so I hope you choose to teach me the tricks [they aren't really tricks, learn how any locks works and you will be able to defeat it, provided you can create tools for the job]. Also, which books are best for beginners and the more advanced? Thanks in advice

I apologize, I can understand spelling/grammatical errors if it's a second language. Also another tip, there is no need for four posts when one will do the job

Holy crap mate O.o , sounds a bit like your more interested in B&E than in picking. I suggest you stick with your screwdrivers and drills. Picks take too long to use illegally

for a good starter set you should get an 11 piece southord pick set............it will get you on the right path then you can get bigger and ore stuff, but the 11 piece has pretty much everything you need to start......hope that helps btw its costs $25.
