Make a duplicate

Postby Nibiru_2017 » 3 Jan 2017 17:33

Forgive me mods if this question has been asked.

Is it possible to put some kind of fast drying putty, clay, plastic, epoxy into a keyway to form a key after it dries?

Then you pull out the material revealing a perfect key duplicate, has that ever worked before?

Yes, I saw that James Bond movie as well.

No this is not possible, we have a thread somewhere around here that covers in in depth.

While I respect the discretion of our venerable site admin, linking to this thread is borderline irresponsible. Now the general public knows about the X2000 Inflatable Key.

Next we'll be telling them about the PowerKey+ AnnihiLock 5000. Where does it end?!

Just make sure you don't tell them where to get Tactical Doggy Doo.

Here is an article on key blanks that take the proper form to open locks. However, it takes a lot of experience to make them work properly.

Removed link to item that would fall under advanced tools.

I found a quart of that stuff, fell off of an FBI surveillance van in my town. Just so you guys know they have a database on that stuff and it's all microchipped so they can track it. They snuck into my house one night while I was out and ambushed me when I got home!
One of them started dunking me in the toilet until I turned over the Tactical Goo. Then the other one peed on my rug before they left!

I actually did a narrow search and found out what I was looking for about the process and method making such a key that way.

I found out that the GOO Material works good if its white an color and smells like bleach and dries fast.

I'm going to try this method to make a duplicate key and then report on my findings.
