I don,t know if this has already been covered by another thread, but I have just read an artical in a bike magazine about picking bike locks with a "BIC" type pen!
The locks work on the tubular principle so I,m sure most of you can guess how it,s done.
The artical (in Ride magazine .UK. ) also featured a certain safe engineer that I think a few guys on here know!
What I found worrying was the lock they so easily picked is the same as the one I use on my bike! It was even the same colour!

Well, the search engine might tell you that it has been covered to such an extent that some people on this site now react allergic to the sole mentioning of Bic pens or even stuff that sounds similar like big or bit pic. But do you have a link for the article?
Btw, I recently did a small booth for my lockpicking group at a university exhibition where all the groups that meet at the uni introduce themselves. There I had a small sign with a tubular key, a bic pen and "This key = evil bad lock" written on it.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.
