Just finished running through these. Theres was about 10 of the loto americans at top left, not in pic. Same colors KD. The 1300 series has 2 restricted R8 cores, 1 is extreme high low high 6pin. Good bit of fun.

Got through these all again last night. Just trying to get a feel for my new picks. I need to get more locks. Lol, story of my life.

I feel like such a shlub looking at what you've picked. I can't pick one Stanley and here you picked two. What kind of tension/tools do you use, out of curiosity?

I use TOK tension, i had the sparrows tok tension set & its great for narrower keyways but i got the .050 peterson prybar the other day & its alot better fit.

Not sure which pins your having problems with but these were the ones getting me. Idk what there called but they have 3 lumps around the outside & a lip on the very end. The lip being on the very end makes it feel like you raised it to the shearline but its just caught in the counter milling in the plug.

Huh...looks like a reverse spool or something. As far as tension I use the Peterson pry bar too but what do you use...heavy? Light?

I use medium to light tension on everything. The only time i use heavy tension is if i try to pick a spool but it doesn't set & i need to get my false set back. Or im fighting against a spring. Another thing about that pin is when its stuck in the milling i get absolutely zero feedback from everything & had to keep starting over. Now that i know its there if i think i set a pin then loose all feed back i just ease up a tiny bit on tension & give it a extra shove

Two Supra key boxes for car dealerships, one new to me today, one have had a while.

This is the lock type

Used these to pick it:

And two padlocks that were left in a used car without keys.

Cool supra boxes, ive never seen that type before. I always like seeing people making special tension wrenches & tools also.

I'm gonna have to revise my technique or something. I think I subconsciously tend to increase tension as pins set. I'll give the lock another try tonight.

Also drove about 20 miles after work to get to the nearest Home Depot that actually carries American Locks (never knew some stores carry them). Snagged a series 2000 puck lock, an A50 and an A40 2-pack that I'm going to start on tomorrow.

Those aluminum body locks feel funny when you pick them. Had one left in an auction car a couple days ago, but no keys.

Never seen a Home Depot with American padlocks. Interesting.

The HD website even lists a couple of them as Master, which I know now owns American but still found it strange. The A40 and A50 definitely feel a bit different from the 5200s I'm used to. Or maybe it's in my head.

You betcha! I kept over setting pin 4. This is the biggest or tallest hook i own & i think that was a big part of my problem. Im gonna have to order some taller hooks.
