Needing help finding pin kits

Postby bigchoppers2003 » 19 Apr 2017 21:23

I am new to the repinning locks area and I get several locks a lot. I am now out of pins I can use in American locks and could use some help finding a kit with serrated spools in the kit.

You can find them all the time on eBay.

Gordon,
I figured the same but I have searched all different ways that I can think of to find them with no result. I am not looking for the service kit since I have the actuators and springs, I am just looking for the bottom and the top security pins (serrated and serrated spools).

Thanks

For a universal set of pins, search "Lab pin kit." I just did this myself and a whole bunch of results came back. There's a lot to choose from, but just be sure to get the .003" kit if you buy one. If you want to know the differences in the universal pin kits, do a search here on the forum for previous threads. Pretty sure it's been covered many many times before.

For security pins, LAB makes serrated top pins and spooled top pins, which are sold in individual sizes or as a kit of many different sizes. CLK supplies is a vendor that carries them, as jimu57 mentioned. If your looking for security bottom pins, LAB made such a kit (.003" universal), where the bottom and top pins were serrated. Unfortunately, this kit has been discontinued to my knowledge, so you'll probably have to keep an eye on eBay to find one.

Hope you find the right kit!

Under ebay,
"pinning kit"
Dropping the tension wrench, is the subconscious screaming open before you can.

I have seen high-security pin kits all over the web. Just did a quick search and found a few by searching "set of security pins for locks". (First, try.)

There looks like there are a few little bags of spools and serrated on "learn lock picking. com". Then there is a large set that comes with a whole repining case on "lock picks .com".

I think finding the right one for you will come down to looking at all the products and determining your needs and how much you want to spend.

From what you have described, the one on "learn lock picking" seems like what you are looking for. (But I could be wrong.)

This question was asked in late December, pickybastard found Mr Lock sells all the American Lock pins in baggies, see here:

*although we were not 100% sure if they were serrated and spoorated or if they are OEM or just the correct size.
