Postby WilsonTrucking » 29 Apr 2017 15:58

I recently acquired a collection of locks, one being a US stamped american 5200. Question I have is do masterlock pins fit in american cores?

Is there any appreciable difference regarding size or is it a matter of serated vs normal?

Master owns American. I don't see why there would be any difference other than the pin numbers between the two is offset by 1.

So a master 1 would be american 2, or 0?

Master is 0 thru 7. American is 1 thru 8.

Master 1 is American 2.

Master has not always owned American .. I did a quick search and cant find the Master pin length .. So I am not sure if this makes a difference .. But depending on how old the American is, The Master Lock pins may not fit properly
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...
