What is this lock?

I have a copy of this lock in my store, they've been hanging on the shelf for 20+ years and
are packaged as suitcase locks, mine are made by Ultra Hardware or UHP and they are not
resettable, so whatever combo they are set on they stay on. I don't think mine have the same
markings yours show, perhaps you're lock is even older, maybe even the design mine are copied from

How many numbers are on each wheel? you could likely just go through all the possible #er's at a
sitting, my old man used to open briefcases that way, while watching TV --
he loved getting paid while sitting around, cause it was so rare he had the opportunity

Is there a meaning behind the symbols on the lock body?

The triangle connected to a circle by a line, and the hexagon with the three triangles. (Which are even advertised on the box).

They also both have a zero on them. (But that is not on the box in the picture).

It does not look visually pleasing enough to just be just a design.

Just curious if anyone had any insight on this.

I don't have any definitive knowledge but it seems in line with a lot of Chinese maker's logos. I agree it's not all that pleasing, but that's par for the course with cheap import locks.

The "zero" I'm thinking is for the mechanism of the lock. Those shiny metal "rotors" you turn to set the combination probably have marks on them 0-9 perhaps? It might be that when the rotors are turned all the way to the left you can't read the marking off the rotors, therefore the 0 stamping tells the user that you get the 0 setting by turning the rotors all the way to the left.
