Will somebody PLEASE stop the emails???

Postby shdwdrgn » 27 Oct 2017 23:00

I've been getting a new copy of the 'Locktoberfest' email every hour for the past 11 hours. Doesn't anybody pay attention to these things? I don't really want to have to resort to unsubscribing but this is getting annoying.

Well, someone triggered the locktoberfest newsletter. And I tried unsubscribing with no luck. I still get them. That part is really bad because that violates the CANSPAM act in the United States.

Thank you for posting it and Mr Picks the forum owner sends his apologies for your trouble, he is having the server administrator look at the system right now.

Ironically enough, I am the admin but did not get this email.

Thanks for letting us know,

Yes, every member of the forum received the monthly newsletter sent by Mr Picks from the above address, the server had a hiccup and decided to restart the email job another 9 times until one of the server admins stopped the job.

Thanks

Thanks folks for looking into this. I figured it was one of those things where nobody had noticed the issue. I run some servers too, always hate it when somebody happens to mention "oh yeah it's been doing that for a few days now..." Seriously, why didn't you tell me?!?
