I've had a new renovation that's been running for a couple of years. One of the things that was fitted early was a door. I never needed to use the door and assumed it was keyed the same as all the other doors that were fitted at the same time by the same supplier.
ASS-U-ME was the mistake.
The keyway is different to all the other doors because the door locking mechanism is different.
The locking mechanism is a Roto Safe H I think. It's stamped Roto and looks like this https://ftt.roto-frank.com/en/products/ ... lation-10/
Anyway I think the cylinder is knows a "Euro Cylinder Door Lock". I've looked around and the keyway appears to be also know as a "Mul-T-Lock" https://www.mul-t-lock.com/en/site/mul- ... -cylinder/
The issue is I never received a key even remotely looking like this. I can open the door from the inside via the manual handle so to that extents I can secure the door but I'd really like a key.
Do I need to replace the lock barrel or can I take the barrel out and get the code off it somehow so a key can be cut?
The cylinder itself is unmarked with a brand.
Your advice is appreciated.
Below is the actual locking side of the barrel.
