Blitz 1200

Postby okmpl47 » 12 May 2016 14:19

Hi everyone,

Couple days ago i got my brand new Blitz 1200.

I changed the cutter to cw-1011.

Every key i`m trying to cut is off the grid for example H75 starting to cut from 2 B111 the same thing...

Do i need to recalibrate my new blitz 1200?

Thanks in advance.

Did you face the cutter the correct direction?

If the cutter is the correct one (the card will tell which cutter should be used) and it is facing the correct direction, it should be correct, especially if the previous cutter was cutting accurately.

If the cutter, direction and card are correct, then you need to use the calibration kit. Your manual should explain how to use the kit.

Another option to align a HPC Blitz 1200CMB

using a SC1 Key Blank

Make 2 cuts on the key in position 1 & 5 to the 5 depth

so you should have as follows:

space from bow to cut 1 is .231

Space from Bow to Cut 5 is .8588

Depth for cut 1 is .260

Depth for Cut 5 is .260

if you have this then you are dead on if not then adjust till you do. I hope this helps others as well.

Thanks TL

What about a single sided key? It is possible you are not inserting the double sided key in the jaw per the instructions on the card.

To clarify what Cledry is saying, the card will tell you which jaw and also which side of the jaw should be facing up.

On the standard jaw that comes with the machine, there are two sides of the jaw. Side A and side B. It may also specify a shim or stop.
