How to open an old parking meter lock?

Postby cuscoale » 14 Feb 2021 16:41

Hi everyone, my name is Alessandro and I live in Switzerland :)

My grandfather gave me an old Swiss parking meter from the 80s. It works perfectly, the only problem is that there are no keys to open the two locks. The one above I think is to open the parking meter for maintenance, the one below to empty the money.

I have never done lockpicking in my life, is it possible to open these two locks? Which kit do you recommend to buy?

Thanks,
Alessandro

Sorry, but we do not discuss parking meters in the public area of the forum as we do not wish to teach criminals how to open parking meters that may still be in use somewhere. We might help you today, but tomorrow a criminal will find this thread using Google search and now we have taught a bad guy by accident.

We have a members only Advanced Topics area for trusted members where parking meters can be discussed, but you are a new member and we do not know you so you will not have access to that area.

I will have to lock this post, you may want to check in on Reddit /r/Lockpicking or somewhere else, perhaps someone will offer you some help.

Good luck,

If someone wishes to help our guest via a private message, then perhaps he will get the answers he seeks.
