Got a bunch of GeGe locks all with the same markings and keyways however some are steel and some are brass. Is there a difference to their inner workings? See images below. Also any picking tips would be appreciated.

The 'steel' ones are most probably satin chromium plated brass. As they are marked with a 'kitemark' they would probably be BS3621 cylinders and hence would need to have at least 6 pins and an anti-pick feature.
