I have the Blitz, does the angles, never had to use for Medeco. Would be Interesting to mill a little extra off a Kwikset or Schlage Key to fit a Medeco and file the Schlage? key to open the Medeco.

Just be aware that Medeco keys are thicker at the top of the key blade than most normal key blades. This is to allow enough metal on the blade to be able to provide proper rotation of the key pins.

Have a Blitz or two as well. They do cut Medeco well for me.

The source was actually found accidentally, when Billdeserthills recommended Foley Belsaw's website for certain tools. Will let you know when it arrives. It was the only site I have been able to find that actually had SC1 SmartKey cylinders.

So thanks, billdeserthills for recommending a site I had not thought of looking at, even if it was not what I was looking for.

I ordered the smart key tools for the new SC-1 lock from Locksmith Ledger last week, through Los Alamos Lock & Key-- what a royal screwing I'm feeling as I open my package-- It contains the same wafer depressor Gordon received along with two of Kwikset's Schlage blanks and two of the rekey depressor tools--including shipping $50.00--feels like a real fleecing

Sorry about that, Bill. Foley Belsaw charged $23.54, shipped. The Better Resetter works, too. And you probably already have one.

It happens Gordon, of course it took the Locksmith Ledger to set me up for the screwing--last time for that

The Better Resetter that was discontinued is still available from Foley-Belsaw
