Replacement for Double Bit Mortise

Postby si2k » 26 Jun 2023 14:32

I have an aluminum door from Italy with an FEB 6873 double-bit mortise lock. It is getting worn out and finicky, and normally I would just replace it, but it is annoying because you must use a key on both sides of the door. The case is 81mm x 165mm x 25mm.

Does anyone know of an easy to get replacement(USA) that has a thumb-turn on one side?

Or a suitable replacement that uses that accepts euro style lock cylinders? (These are definitely available with a thumb-turn on one side)

I would prefer to keep the knob position...
