What kind of locks are these? How would I pick one?

So I bought these locks in a lot of 10 old materlocks with out keys online. At first I thought they where some kinda disk retainer locks. The inside of the keyway looks kinda like like it. But I never seen a disk retainer lock with a lightning shaped keyway like that. Additionally I cannot seem to tension it as the front of keyway just spins.

What kinda locks are these and how might I even try to pick one?

the [image] tags cant display a web page with an image on it, you have to get the direct url to the .jpg file

Right click image and open in new Tag to get these links:

Those are old warded padlocks. regular lock picks don't work on them.
You will have to get or make a warded pick set.

PS. Abloy style locks are disc detainer, not retainer. Warded locks are not in the same category as disc detainer locks.

Don't use these to secure anything. Think I figured these out ad a Teen, maybe before. Just needs to be a T, the end is all that's needed. Use to lay sideways in a Vice so I wouldn't cut beyond the bottom of the slot, they make those in a couple sizes, and Reverse zig zag.

You can take a key from an existing one of these locks, file off all the wings sticking off the post along the key, except for the last ones at the tip. Now you have a key that will work in every one of these locks
