OLD BRIEFCASE type lock - How do I pick this?!

I have no idea on this type?
Does Any one have any ideas or picked these before?

It looks like a generic pin tumbler mechanism, but the photo is oriented upside-down. You should only need a short hook and a BOK tension tool to deal with 3 or 4 pins.

There seems to be something within the keyway, but the lighting in the photo is too dark to clearly identify it.
