Some Resources for the Intrepid Lock Manipulator

Postby DeanR » 15 Aug 2025 22:26

If this post is out of line in any way, moderators – please delete it. I would prefer to not cross lines I am unaware of.

I wanted to put together a few resources for those who want to learn to manipulate dial safe locks. I am sure that many other sites could be added, but here are the few that I have found very valuable. Perhaps other sites could be added in the comments? Many of the people responsible for these sites will be members here. My thanks to them – they have been an invaluable resource to myself.

All sites were current when this post was submitted.

Tutorial Series on Manipulation:
Spinning Dials
https://www.youtube.com/@spinningdials1548/videos
Home page of “Spinning Dials”. A series of 20 videos detailing how to manipulate a Group-2 S&G lock. Great place to start.

Lock Manipulator
https://www.youtube.com/@lockmanipulator/videos
Home page of the “Lock Manipulator”. There are 10+ videos, similar to Spinning dials. Again, great content, and well worth working through.

A series of eight videos.

Squelchtone has put up some videos and links in this lockpicking101 post:
