Hello.
Is there a particular specification that I need to look for when searching for a lock which means that it is as waterproof as possible? I have seen the words 'anti-rust' and 'anti-corrosion', etc. but the problem is that the key becomes hard (or harder) to push in when it rains, so I'm assuming the water is having an immediate effect somehow.
So far, I have found the following, for which I assume I would need to buy a cylinder that is 5mm longer on the external side so that there is room for the cap to be pushed onto.

Something hinged would be a lot more convenient but this seems to be a challenge for euro cylinder type locks, for example, the product below would not be suitable.

From my research on the web, I understand a Teflon based lube is best and oil based lube should be avoided. Would this rule out silicone grease, since it's described as a combination of 'a silicone oil with a thickener', according to the web?
I want to buy a lock that is SS312 Diamond and TS007 3-Star certified. Could anyone suggest or recommend a lock and any water protection device or DIY hack that would be suitable? I haven't thought about my budget yet, but accept that the lock could typically cost around £40 to £80. I haven't had a very thorough search yet, but the Federal 3-star/diamond lock for around £40 looks okay. The lock that is being replaced is an Ultion TS007 2014/SS Diamond, but from what I've read, Ultions are difficult for ordinary non-trade customers to buy.
Thank you.
