I am a Newbie

Postby Streetfigherzfan » 9 Dec 2004 14:18

Hey How are all of you doing? I have been reading post after post, and i finally got down to making a login and password. Locks and everything interest me very much since i was 13 years old. I have no experience, i just mess around. I am interested in purchasing a lock picking set, and/or making my own set. I am currently 20 years old, working at a Color copy department, and possible going to school for networking. But everytime i think about careers, Locksmithing comes to mind, theres something there that totally fascinates me. I enjoy reading different posts from people. So before i go asking questions i am going to continue using that 'Mighty Search' option! LOL.
By the way my name is Dan.
Thanks :)

Hello Everyone

Postby paulchin20 » 10 Dec 2004 11:19

Hi Everyone,

I'm Paul. I'm learning lockpicking from a Locksmith and also selling lockpicks. I have been following this forum for quite a while and have learnt a lot from it. I have made several lockpicks on my own based on the instructions here. It's a wonderful and helpful site.

I've been interested with locks since I was a small kid. Now that I'm older, I have decided to act upon that interest. I just signed up to take the Foley-Belsaw course. Thanks for all the help I have found just scanning the site. :)

Successful

Postby Streetfigherzfan » 10 Dec 2004 11:55

Hello all,
I have successfully made my first lock picks, and i also made a tension wrench, out of an Hex key. I successfully picked a cheap desk drawer lock, at work. It's exciting, i can't wait to get home and make some more picks, rakes. I used steel spring, and tonight i am going to use a hacksaw blade, and try to make them better.

Hi there, i'm new to the site and fairly new to lockpicking, though not completely unexperienced either. I had a dyno kwik pick that i used with limited success but just ordered some real tools today and then found this site. I'm sure i'll learn alot here and i guess thats enough info for an introduction thread.

 newbie...i am trying my best to not flame you...

ask a moderator, not us..maybe it was a stupid post like alot of the other newbies post..or maybe you dreamt you posted it.

or maybe you should SEARCH for it

Skold, try to find a valid reason before threatening to flame someone (hint: alleged possesion of WMDs is not good enough anymore). Search doesn't help a lot if his profile shows nothing but 6 recent postings.

Availor: I don't know what you posted back then but the board is occasionaly cleared of old threads that aren't deemed worth to be archived for all eternity, maybe that's where your postings went to. AFAIK it's necessary because of limited storage space and because it makes searching easier, far better signal to noise ratio that way.
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

You got any experience in the BDSM scene? It's called switching.
