Property manager joins the fun

Postby Curt732 » 23 Jan 2005 19:29

Ya Know, I got so sick and tired of paying a locksmith to open apartments that tenants left locked, without keys upon their departure that I had to give it a try. I'm surprised how well I'm doing. I'm only precticing on Kwikset locks so far and I'm about 6 for 4 on the old lock sets I have laying around. I'm getting better.

Hi, my names Matt and I'm from Liverpool in the UK.

I have had a lifelong interest in locks and their mechanisms. although I am far from calling myself a 'locksmith'. I won't be that till I've been 'at the door' for a few or more years.

I took part in a 3 day UK training course with 24/7 in December, which gave me a superb grounding in NDE, including non-destructive opening of BS3621 mortice locks. I would highly recommend it as a starting point to anybody new to, or serious about going into the industry.

I am not yet trading, as I am still getting the money together to invest in good advertising, more stock and good quality NDE tools for the job.

I have been visiting the forum now for a couple of weeks and decided to join, as it's great, informative and I have found some very helpful and interesting threads concerning both picking locks and the business in general.

With me being new to the forum, I'll probably be posting asking for help if I can't find it on search, but will endeavour to answer any sensible questions in other posts to which I know the answer to the best of my ability.

Newbie Here, just checking in.

Postby Joseph97297 » 25 Jan 2005 14:20

Hey Guys. Just joined a few minutes ago. Been checking out the site for about 2 months, still interested so thought I better take the next step. Right now, I am thinking of pursuing this a little more (in line of a "Part-time").

Any suggestions for me? Read about the F-B Class, but not sure. Thanks and have a great day.
