I'm new here, but I would like to know what brand and type of picks you prefer. I mean, do you like brand A hook for this, and brand C rake for that. Do you like 1 brand over another because of the handle, or it's feedback. Or maybe this 1 fits better in tighter locks and gives a little more lift to the pins. Maybe this set is better because it's smaller and easyer to carry with you. AND don't forget your opinions on torque wrenches.
I have done a lot of reading on here and thank you ALL!!! I just wanted to try to see what everyone uses for what.

Here is the simple answer.
Asking us what "set" we like the most and you will get answers ranging from HPC to SouthOrd. Peterson, Ilco, Majestic, Brockhage, Rytan, ESP, and others. Then there are those who will never use anything but what they make.
Ask us like you have, and the simple answer is "everything". Some people use diamonds exclusively by HPC, but will only use a hook by Peterson.
Tension tools are the same way. They tend to fall into two broad categories. Standard North American loose fitting tension tools, and close fitting euro style tension bars.
All of this is subject to your personal comfort level.

SouthOrd picks suck and are weak
you should get some strong steel picks such as peterson's

Southord pics are spring steel, they're strong and more importantly, affordable...
i've had some rather flemsy petersons... so i have no idea what you're rambling about Kigga.

Southord picks are more than adequate enough for almost every situation. They don't "suck", they're simply not the best available.

SO picks may bend a little but the good thing is u can always bend them back .. If someone want's a weak pick, try the HPC deforest.. Just broke another one of those ..it's my favourite..

I like my Majestic pick set very mutch. It has much better handle's than my other SouthOrd pick set. with the SouthOrd picks after picking a while it's going to hurt.

i've always used the MPXS southord sets, which have the reenforced handles... can't really tell the difference between thoughs and most HPC's.
However... the regular PXS southords... would make me quit picking

I have a Southord long hook that I modified to look like a peterson gem, and then a Southord half diamond. I have more but those are the only 2 I use anymore.
