I think the next time you get to use it chubb will have invented a lock that far surpasses the 110, it will be the loo lock on the starship enterprize! :D
Legge pin and cam - get it, you won't know how you lived without it, its as easy as a tibbe pick!

Well, its almost a perk!, for it to be real perk, it would have to be a Rhino whip! anything else is just an imitation!!

Btw pink's, me needs an uncomplicated, consice, educated, intelligent, Oh! hang on, no, its ok, i'll ask u anyway!! 8) Just what would be the best alround curtain pick! One that'll do the most lock's, with the least fuss!! im thinking bout the C.B but hear its a bit tricky!!

Highjacked thred alert!!

search !

the most versatile is the cb pick, yes its tricky at first but is by far the one to open most locks , not as pretty as safeventures but far more practical on your pocket.

curtain pick

Postby sidpick » 26 Jan 2005 17:22

Pinky, yes the legge is an easy tool to master, thought I was just being lucky, tried it on several, all first time openings.

As for curtain pick, they all seem good for different locks in my opinion, well taken with Chris Belchers pick, its great, safe ventures - love it and I had a play with the rb tools one (in a pub under the influence) and it also had good feedback, just did not like the tension bar, I think it can be moved.
If I had my day again I would have opted for the CB pick, far more unions / 3u's in my area and they were a lock we supplied. we didn't do legges till the Asec's came along.
I think, between us we should have quite a few tools knocking about. Thats what this meet is for, don't get one yet have a play with one and see what you like!

Are there any more interested in our informal picking day on Saturday the 19th Feb ? It will be a mixture of lockpicking and a small element of alcohol appreciation :-) .... message me for more info .. all levels and interest welcome ...

I have been collecting a few nasty little cylinder, mortice and safe locks so look forward to seeing who can get them tamed ....

We will be meeting just 2 mins from junction 10 of the M25 ... I will be sending out directions by pm to those interested so far in the next couple of days ...

See you there ...
