WEBSITE WAS HACKED FROM MY UPLOAD SECTION

Postby egl1044 » 18 Jan 2005 21:10

On January 17th 2005 my lockpickign archive was hacked my uknown individual, If he ever reads this I would just like to say good work. I forgot to add any security and was careless about the upload section as this is where you managed to edit files using cmd command, I know how this is done but I just didn't think it would happen haha, oh well anyway it was fine with me that you did this because I was going to lay out a different design for the site the following day so I am not disapointed in anyway, anyhow In the new design I will not be careless and will add extra security to my website.

Oh yeah if the person who hacked my site would just try to sneak in a yahoo message to me I would like to chat with ya sometime.

Please visit my website lockpickers it will be up and running shortley.

I have more videos!!! check it out it is the same link as in the first post!

PEACE OUT!!

Have you tried looking at the site sponsers page? There they have many books and video that detail how to open things with the gun. So do various other places that sell locksmithing tools.

CP: Just a heads up... if you don't start searching for answers before you post nobody is going to be able to hold back the flames. :) I strongly urge you to read everything that is a "sticky" in the FAQ section. Folks here get tired of answering the same questions over and over when there are "stickied" threads that hold these answers.

In answer to your question, I have done business with lockpickshop.com They are a sponsor of this site, they offer a 10% OFF coupon to members of this site, and they have shipped to me. As you know, we are in the same city, so I suspect you will have no problem.

Hope this helps. Happy picking!

Just a quick note. It's probably not a good idea to post the same quesiton in multiple forums. That's the sorta thing that gets a newbie a whole lot of flame mail! :)

Anyway, in answer to your question, there is a search button near the top of the screen. Try a search for "web hosting". There was a recent thread that gives you a link to a web site that is hosting a number of videos.

Hope this helps, and please read the FAQ.

Happy picking!

(BTW, I can't beleive I'm posting this considering my last post in this thread.... hmm... oh well, teach a man to fish and all....)
