So I locked my keys in my car and wish I would have discovered this forum more than 3 days ago.

Any locksmiths know how I could get into my 1991 honda accord to get the keys out?

I locked my dorm room, left in my car, came back, locked my car, but left the keys in the ignition.

Bad news bears.

i'm not a locksmith, but assuming you have insurance... you can use my method.

Get a big rock, toss it at the window a few times, get keys, leave, come back, and act shocked. :wink:

After a little handywork with a wire coathanger - my problem is solved. Thank God my window decided to roll itself down about a quarter-inch somehow...

Now take those keys and have them all copied, next time ya might not get them all back.

I think i'll wire a spare key under the car somewhere

as for the dorm keys--can't copy them unless I hand file - they have the standard 'do not duplicate' on them.

I've had copies of keys made that say that several times and no one has ever said a thing about it.

I forgot to mention it also depends on where you live as to whether there are any laws about duplicating those types of keys.

One of my master keys for work is stamped like that. Over time I've had to have copies of it made several times. The people that make keys at Walmart or the local hardware store I go to look to be in their late teens or early twenties, and I doubt they would even care if it was illegal here.

you have a good point, I should see if it would work. I suppose if i took it to my home town rather than the college town they wouldn't care as much either.

Also you should check online...

I was about to get my school apartment(the fancy dorms) key duplicated, but found out via this site that it is a primus and has a special side-bar cut to the bottom that is only sold to specific locksmith, and that it wasn't possible to copy at your local acehardware, ect.

You should double check to make sure its copy-able.
