Hi all!

I registered myself a couple of weeks ago but this is my first post. I'm almost new (my interest in lockpicking came out about a month ago) but i'm finding that this is a very interesting and "kind-of-zen-and-mystical" practice :)

C'ya !

picking noob

Postby visormiser » 9 Apr 2005 9:30

Hey everyone,

First just let me say how impressed I am with the quality of this forum. I only recently got into lockpicking (i can now pick three different padlocks and my file cabinet, all in less than 10 seconds apiece.)

Now, i'm trying to teach myself how to make my own tools, as I imagine that my newfound skills will most likely come in handy when I am far away from my lockpicking set :)

Thanks to the posters for their excellent and very helpful instructions/advice.

hi everyone,

im sure that most people say this when they introduce themselves, but i've gotta say that this place is very nice.

my interests include computers [programming, network stuff, etc], pyrotechnics, electonics, and of course lock picking and related areas.

i spend a lot of time around Chicago and Philadelphia.

i'm currently a student.

ive got a nice southOrd pick set, and im currently trying to become decent at impressioning and manual key duplication.

thanks to everyone for making this such a great place.

New today

Postby prim » 12 Apr 2005 4:22

Hi everyone
As you can see I have joined today, but I have been searching this site for 6 months and find it to be first class for locksmith information.

I have been trading as a locksmith for the past 3 months and have found it very difficult to get customers despite advertising in the following places, Yell.com, Local paper, 2 web site of my own, wall charts, 118247, Leaflets, Letters to business, Plus many others, out of all them I find Yell.com to be the best. I get more calls from companies selling advert space than I get from customers. Not as easy as I expected but I must still Plod on.

Hi there

Postby Falken » 12 Apr 2005 13:27

Hi,

I'm a french guy interested in lock picking since I opened doors at high school (a couple of years ago!), but it was pretty easy because the locks were a little bit "damaged". A 3 years old kid would have done it with a screwdriver (just turn).

Now I try to open "true" locks and it is interesting (and harder of course ;))

Have a nice evening,
Falken.
