ASSA Twin V-10 Cylinder

Might sound a bit of a strange question, but here goes anyway.

The vans that i use at work have the double pin system assa locks fitted to them in addition the vehicles own locking system. While im used to having extra locks fitted to the vehicles, my question is - after someone has gone to all the trouble in putting the extra locks in, do they do anything extra to the standard system as well?
Doesnt matter what lock it is on the doors, theres still glass. Almost seems pointless other than a deterrent, but then wouldnt a bird lock have the same effect? Just one of those odd questions that maybe an uk auto lockie would know about.

Incidently the box body on the back has a chubb 3g114 as the extra lock.

Breaking the glass is noisy and they might cut themselves etc, to pop open the standard locks on a vehicle is usually a quick and quiet procedure - the assa locks would stop them dead in their tracks.

A bird lock might have the same effect - but who would fit crap like that ??
