When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

when you pick the yale try leaning the pick in the keyway to give yourself a little more room :D

I've found slimline picks as saving grace, for they not only work with small cylinders but with large as well. And in my opinion the feed back is better than larger picks. My hypothesis being that motion has less matter to travel through.
Lock picking is an art, not a means of entry.

Get a set of slimmies. I'v only heard good things about them so far, and besides, why not go for it if you have the money! Kinda reminds me, i have to get my own set sooner or later :)

Good luck!

Yales have narrower keyways so the slim line picks would work really well.

Also bare in mind they have security pins (usually pins 2 & 4) so if you're just starting out you might fine ERA a better choice to start with.

Thank you for the kind words about my shop :D
