how many locks have you done?

I just wanted to ask how many locks people have done, and which ones they have had problems with and how they overcome them.

I am very new to this community and I am at 4 locks!! so far i havent had a lock beat me, but i do have to say they the locks i have done are nothing fancy yet, but i had them around so i did them

1 shackle and 3 door handle locks

I don't go for speed, I just go for opening.

I think the worst thing I have ever had to deal with was an Abloy dual key system. Some joker had designed the system so that two people had to open the door. Neither one of these people had a key at the time.

That was a nightmare.

I'm imagining Superman III with Richard Pryor, and his YO-YO where he has to turn the key at the same time from across the room, and he ties it to some guys hand, and has the key turn. heh.

I can just imagine you say NOOOOO rotate it the other way. Sheeesh.

Well, nothing quite so severe. More like a safe deposit box, but on a door. In any case, one idiot had lost his key, and the other one had left his on the other side of the door.

Even if one of them had their key, it would have been much easier, but as it was there were two of those darn things to deal with.

That was one of the reasons why I started designing the abloy picks.

just wanted to tell you guys i opened another lock tonight, im really not going for speed but im trying to get as much experience as possible. this lock was a scleage, a little older not sure what the exact name of it is called( but its the standard lock that is on most doors above the door handle)

Most people on this board have probobly picked houndreds of locks, even more for those who are trading locksmiths. It's not practicle to keep a tally of every single one.

I don't know honestly. Although there have been some memorable ones. You probably will loose track quite quickly, unless you write it down. You will remember your first pick, your first pick with homemade tools, the first time you help out a friend with a lockout, your first "difficult" lock, be it security pins, SFIC or nasty MACS pinned Schlage. Your first bypass is memorable as well, regardless of whether you read about it somewhere, or figure it out on your own, even if it is already widely known.

During "microbiology " lectures, im quite board, each day one of my friends gives me a different lock to pick. I dont keep track, but i think this is a sign of slight insanity
