for those on slow internetconnections:
the videos describe the technique of cutting down a key to 9 for all pins. Then filing the tip of the key and the "stopper" (no idea what its actually called) down 0,5mm, so the key can move further into the lock.
The key is inserted into the lock and light torque is applied on the key. Then the key is hit several times with the handle of a screwdriver or a light plastic hammer. This should unlock allmost all pintumbler locks.

The technique you are referring to is called "bumping". There is a very good paper written by Barry Wels on the matter. You can find it here. Thanks for the vids tho!

The "stopper" is called the shoulder of the key.

Bump keys try to acheive by mechanical means what a pick gun does.

The theory is that as you hit the head of the key, it causes the pins to jump up into the bible (where the springs and drivers are). If you apply torque to the key head at the correct time, you can catch the pins in the right place and the lock turns.

As with any lock opening techniques, some may work better on certain locks than others.
