I know it's been discussed.. but from what I understand, most things have been mathematical with ideas of 12 sticking points and adding five here and there..
I think there may be a way of manipulation that could allow a person to open the masterlock.
I was looking inside a drill MasterLock and I kept thinking about the lugs. It seems that the tumbler gate openings are located right next to the lugs or inbetween them very close.
If one were to imagine inside their head the lugs clicking each other turning the dials, I would assume someone could crack the masterlock by listening to it.
I was wondering if this was a realistic approach. I continue to try it at this moment, however I don't know what my outcome will be.

Since there is no edit button:
The main theory is that by listening to the lugs click against each other, thus turning the next tumbler.. you can assume where the tumbler gate opening will you, thus bring them under the locking pawl.

The method involving the math is indeed still manipulation. Your method will not work for all locks, or even most, as the placement of the pickups (lugs) is different on different locks.

Is there a current form of mathematical manipulation used on Masterlock combo-locks that you know of?
If this is advanced, please Private Message (PM) me.

I think my theory makes sense for the the two tumblers in the back.. but it's very hard for the last tumbler.
easy - easy - hard
10- 20 - 10

I looked at this webpage yesterday, any idea if it works on current Masterlocks?

If you rotate the dial a little bit, and try the same thing over again, you will find that the lock sticks in another place!
It doesn't say which way to turn, but i've tried both directions.. i let go of the shackle, which no one seems to understand what it is, and i was able to keep rotating the dial without it sticking.. it didn't stick..
i'm guessing this may be for old masterlocks.

i'm guessing i should push up through the hole in the combo lock with my index finger and use high torque on the dial..

This still works. Just pull and turn at the same time. It takes a bit of practice.

# All seven of the points that stick BETWEEN marks are FAKE.
So, this leaves us with five points left. Four of the five numbers that the dial sticks ON have the same one's digit place. For example, the numbers 5, 15, 25, and 35 all have the same one's digit.
That would probably make more sense except.. i'm getting 10-20-30
along with .. 17-27-37...
I know 10 is the number I need but.. wouldn't it have the same system?

I'm probably spamming but if someone new to this comes along they'll get ideas..
I guess I could figure the 17-27-37 is fake because it doesn't excatly land on the white notch in the middle when i shift it a tiny bit left and right..
what disturbs me is that I have 10-20-30
i guess i could throw out what doesn't seem to have a consistent pattern..
36.5, 33.5, 30, 26.5, 23.5, 20, 16.5, 13.5, 10, 6.5, 3.5, 0
so yeah.. that kinda sucks.. that's what sticks when i turn the dial right.
hmm.. lol

I can understand what you are trying to accomplish and I commend you for investigating that line of thinking however, a Master combo padlock CAN be bypassed with part of a soda pop can if you were mearly trying to defeat it. Also, "rapping" will work if the lock isn't attached to anything (if you know how that technique is done)
"CAN'T" never could do nothin'...

Yea, leave the listening to the lugs for the movies, unless you have a stethoscope, you won't get anywhere...
Manipulation seems to work best, I'm trying to get a new idea for the dudley locks, but I need orange's time to help, I'm sure he will give. Sabin, your email would help us, PM me please.

From what I have read, it is all about feel, and
a stethoscope is not needed.
I have a Lockwood combination lock that if
I put up to my ear, I can hear quite clearly
whatever is going on in there, without the
help of a 'doctor heartbeat thingy'.
