Love My Bogota Pick

I made a Bogota pick from a wiper blade and I love it. I have used it to open a couple of locks I have which I had a great deal of trouble openning with other picks and even snap guns. I couldn't believe how easily I got these locks with the Bogota, after trying many other picks. I highly recommend one for any set of picks.

I have to agree, they're an excellent rake.

Ok, I have started making picks and went running around town looking for all sorts of materials. I wanted to find one that worked best for me.

Anyways, I scored a big bunch of wiper blades from an auto repair shop. But looking at them, there was slots cut in the metal strip all the way along, and to me it looked like they were too thin to turn into picks or even wrenches.

Are you guys using that kind of wiper strip or getting something different?

Python: it sounds like you have the strips that are a one-piece item and are painted black. These are no use to you, what you need are the stainless steel strips (shiny) which are used in pairs, one on each side of the wiper rubber.
