If someone gets it to work, let me know. I couldn't.

Padlock shims have a very limited use.
On all better padlocks they won´t work and on the cheap stuff they will do it sometimes.
It is better not to expect too much from them.

Read the below thread dated 25 aug. Looks like someone else had the same good idea, wd.

I have not tried this and dont wish to (im in it for the picking not the defeats) but keep in mind floppy disk metal things are all so different. What might work for one might not for another. I have seen many plastic type covers replacing the metal thing. Please keep this in mind and perhaps try a different brand.

if you would've searched a little more, or read the FAQ, you would have found this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=1041

also, if you look in this thread (which is also in the FAQ section...):
viewtopic.php?t=588

you'll find a video on how to use padlock shims.

i suggest reading through all the stickied topics in the FAQ's section of the forum, they do a very good job of answering just about every generalized question you may have. Also, the search feature is also a great help... good luck with shimming if you attempt it. but remember, works on very few padlocks... (it does work wonder on Master combination locks though... you know, the ones you had on your locker in high school  )

Soda can padlock shims actually do work pretty good, you just need a little practice to get the shape down, bend it to curve around the shackle, and after that, it's fairly easy. Working the shackle up and down should help a bit with trying to get a soda can shim down, since they're really quite flimsy. The big downside probably is that, one use will always break a soda can made shim, or bend it badly enough that it becomes unusable.

Fortunately enough for most lock users, any lock of even mediocre quality will be a tough bypass with a shim. Don't expect to open tons of locks with them, caveat emptor.

I'm assuming thats the video you want, the one that shows you how to make a popcan shim and then how to use it.

you know those rectangle security things they put on packages like that wal mart? well if you cut the side open, and carefully shake it, three very thin pieces of metal will fall out. i collect these like crazy because they make the ultimate shim and if you put one of these between the lock caseing and the lock clyindar, and push as you put a random key that will it, or rake it really well, you can get all of the pins to stick in place and pull the whole cylindar out :-D
